START HERE: Find Your Next DCS Lesson

Getting into a new DCS aircraft is exciting—until you’re sitting in the cockpit wondering which switch to press first. Even once you’re airborne, there’s always another weapon, system or mission to get to grips with.

That’s why we’ve brought our START HERE videos together on Grim Reapers Channel 3. The series is a place to find a lesson, follow along and then give it a go for yourself in DCS World.

The playlist already takes in quite a range. You can fly P-51D missions, practise F/A-18C cannon combat and explore its radar and beyond visual range combat. If helicopters are more your thing, there’s also an AH-64D guide covering the Hellfire and TEDAC.

There’s no need to work through everything in order. Pick the aircraft or skill you’re interested in, watch the video below and come back whenever you need a refresher. We’ll keep adding to the series as Channel 3 grows.

START HERE: FA-18C Basic A2A Training – Radar, AMRAAMs and BVR Combat | DCS

Learn the fundamentals of air-to-air combat in the DCS F/A-18C Hornet.

In this START HERE training mission, we work through the basics of using the F/A-18C’s air-to-air radar, acquiring and tracking targets, employing AIM-120 AMRAAMs and fighting Beyond Visual Range (BVR).

This video is aimed at DCS players who are new to the Hornet, returning after a break, or simply want a straightforward introduction before moving on to more advanced air-to-air combat.
