Aircraft Can Dogfight While Flying Backwards Now? | DCS World

The newly released F-100D Super Sabre continues to surprise us in DCS World, but this may be one of the strangest moments yet.

During a dogfight against its Cold War-era adversaries, the aircraft appears to do the impossible, looking as though it is fighting while flying backwards. Whether it’s an aerodynamic quirk, a visual illusion, or just DCS World being DCS World, the result is both hilarious and impressive.

This short clip comes from our full F-100D vs MiG-19 & MiG-21 dogfight video, where we put the iconic Super Sabre through a series of unscripted engagements using historically appropriate weapons and tactics to see how it stacks up against its Soviet rivals.

Watch the short, then check out the full battle to see how the Super Sabre performs.
