Could F-14 With JDAM Have Destroyed The Infamous Thanh Hóa Bridge, Vietnam In A Single Day? | DCS

The upgraded F-14B(U) Tomcat has arrived in DCS World, bringing GPS-guided JDAM precision strike capability. That raises an interesting alternate-history question: could a small flight of modernized Tomcats have succeeded where 871 U.S. combat sorties during the Vietnam War failed?

In this mission, we recreate the infamous attack on the Thanh Hóa (Dragon’s Jaw) Bridge, one of the toughest targets of Operation Rolling Thunder. Armed with JDAMs, our F-14s must fight through intense AAA, deadly SA-2 surface-to-air missiles, and aggressive MiG-21 interceptors to deliver a precision strike.

Can modern precision-guided munitions rewrite history, or will Vietnam-era air defences prevail?

DRAG RACE: 1940’s-1960’s Fighters – How Much Did Aircraft Improve Over 20 Years? | DCS

Experience an epic fighter aircraft drag race in DCS World featuring the newly released F-100D Super Sabre! We put some of the fastest military aircraft from the late WWII, Korean War, and early Cold War eras head-to-head in a low-level 5-mile speed challenge to see just how rapidly fighter technology evolved between the 1940s and 1950s.

Competing in this high-speed showdown are legendary aircraft including the F-100D Super Sabre, MiG-21, MiG-19, FW-190 D9 (Focke-Wulf 190 Dora), and Bf 109 K-4. From powerful piston-engine warbirds to early jet fighters and supersonic-era aircraft, this race highlights one of the most dramatic periods of aviation history.

In just 15 years, fighter aircraft top speeds nearly quadrupled. Which aircraft will dominate the drag strip and claim the title of fastest fighter in DCS World?
