We’re celebrating our 100th naval video on Grim Reapers 2 (GR2) with a suitably oversized matchup: IJN Shikishima vs KMS Hannover in War on the Sea.
Two enormous what-if battleships clash in open water to mark the milestone. Our 100th naval video calls for a suitably oversized matchup.
In this War on the Sea special, IJN Shikishima faces KMS Hannover in a clash between two enormous what-if battleships. Neither of these hypothetical giants saw service, but the simulator gives us somewhere to settle the argument.
Shikishima vs Hannover
The setup puts both battleships into open water for a direct engagement, testing Shikishima’s firepower against Hannover’s ability to absorb punishment.
With massive main batteries exchanging fire, we focus on the game’s damage modelling and how each ship holds up as the hits accumulate.
Can Shikishima inflict enough damage to bring down her opponent, or will Hannover’s resilience prove decisive?
Celebrating Our 100th Naval Video
The viewers have already been marking the occasion. As @murry9788 put it:
“A worthy fight for the 100th duel of the giants.”
Others have enjoyed watching the captains learn and adjust their tactics throughout the series. There’s also plenty of appreciation for the modders who make these unusual ships and matchups possible—and suggestions for what we should put into battle next.
A big thank you to everyone who has watched, commented and supported the series. Whether you’ve followed every engagement or recently joined us, we’re glad to have you aboard.
